Product Engineer

Engineering, modulization and standardization ● Processing equipment

Development of assigned product families and providing support to customer projects

You will become part of an international specialist team of 5 product and design engineers in the Engineering Center, Storage and Conveying. This center develops the design for the specific customer orders and customizes equipment focusing on having a modularized and standardized platform. You will be responsible for the design of future generations within own product families, where your foundation will be the comprehensive product platform, that already exists at Haarslev Industries. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Driving and contributing to development projects, including data collection and site visits
  • Handling customer orders, preparing P&ID, dimensioning and calculation of final design and materials
  • Providing support across the organization with your knowledge and insights from the sales and service organization

In Global Engineering you will have more than 40 expert colleagues who all work to ensure a continuous optimization and development of the service, that the Engineering Center provides to the entire organization. Modulization and standardization are strategically important – not just in Engineering but throughout the company.

You will receive a thorough introduction to the process equipment of Haarslev Industries, and you will have approximately 5-20 travelling days per year, depending on the situation.

Mechanical engineer with a strong sense of logic and a passion for simplification and structure

Do you hold a mechanical engineering degree in construction or similar area of specialization? Do you have a logic mind, are you inquisitive and open in your dialogue with others? Then, you will have a strong foundation to learn and develop in this position. We do not expect you to have solid knowledge of process equipment from the start, but a keen interest and experience in working with modulization of product and mechanical design is an advantage, or maybe this is the opportunity you have been dreaming of.

If you are a capable data analysist and already experienced in Autodesk Inventor® and VBA programming, this is an additional qualifier. Your working style is structured and methodical, and you are motivated by a combination of working independently and working in an open and trustful team, where you also contribute to knowledge sharing.

You will primarily be working in Autodesk Inventor® and Autodesk Vault® as your main CAT program, and your working language is mostly English.

An informal but ambitious environment, technical challenges, and opportunities for development

You are offered a key role, where you will have opportunities to apply your technical skills, and at the same time build unique experience and knowledge about the process solutions of Haarslev Industries. You will become part of an international group in continued development.

Your place of work will be the headquarters in Haarslev, and you will be joining a dedicated team, where everyone contributes to a good social working environment and a strong team spirit in a pleasant but also ambitious atmosphere. Your colleagues are competent and always accessible. Therefore, you will have plenty of opportunities for professional dialogues and to apply your knowledge. At Haarslev Industries, professional and personal development is always in focus.
