Cutting-edge solutions through experimental research

Chora is a high-tech company specialized in developing innovative communication solutions for signal-jammed environments. The Research Scientist of Chora will participate in research and development projects focusing on the limitations and constraints with multibeam, multiband radar signal processing, digital electronics, and radiofrequency. Moreover, the work will encompass research within advanced algorithms for timing and positioning and high bandwidth communication.

The approach to identifying solutions to these complex challenges is equally theoretical and experimental. Frequent tasks in this position include collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data from scientific examinations as well as conducting experiments and tests in the advanced laboratory and test facility of Chora. Approaches and technologies include advanced algorithms distributed on FPGA’s, GPU’s, DSP’s and MCU’s as well as simulations and measurements.

The Research Scientist will work closely with the Chief Scientific Officer of Chora. In addition, Chora consists of highly specialized and skilled experts, with whom the Research Scientist will collaborate.

Experienced researcher with an entrepreneurial mindset

The ideal candidate has experience with experimental research from a PhD scholarship in the field of physics, astronomy, mathematics or similar, with an interest in continuing a professional scientific career in a privately held company. Familiarity with research methods, experiment design and conduction as well as advanced algorithms is a given.

Ideally, the candidate has experience within Chora’s areas of research, and a scientific interest in these areas is of course a requirement. In addition, candidates should be passionate about identifying real-life solutions that will transform into product innovation and in the end exceed customer expectations.

Important competencies include exceptional analytical reasoning, critical thinking, proactivity, self-discipline, and a cooperative mindset. Fluency in Danish and English is an indispensable requirement. A security clearance by the Danish authorities will be part of the hiring process.

A permanent position in an innovative company

This position offers a unique possibility to combine scientific ambitions with the flexibility and momentum of working in a small privately held company. The results made from the research will be the foundation of Chora’s continued product innovation and success.

Chora has a welcoming culture, where competencies and “nerdery” is combined with collaboration and an informal working environment. Chora’s employees are dedicated to their work and take pride in contributing to Chora’s advanced solutions.
