Manager, Hydraulics & Controls

Design of hydraulic systems for customized braking applications

Can you see yourself working in a well-established R&D department with competent and motivated hydraulic and control engineers? Can you envision yourself as head of a team that designs solutions creating safety and security in every type of braking application where large forces or special conditions apply? And are you, or do you aspire to become, the new manager in an international environment?

If so, you can read more here.

Make your professional ambition come true

9 competent hydraulic and control engineers and technical designers in the Application & Controls Department are involved when the projects are related to customer specific applications. The latest challenges involve solutions that must function in an elevator, an underwater turbine, a submarine, or the mountains of Tibet in an altitude of 4,500 meters. The applications are diverse and offer plenty of design challenges.

Svendborg Brakes has its own hydraulic manufacturing and test centre, where it is possible to test designs, and where customers will visit to see the progress of their projects.

With reference to the Engineering MD, you will get the overall management and budget responsibility for the department which functions as an independent R&D department. Your most important task will be to head the department, including:

  • Leading and motivating the team members as well as supporting their technical and personal development

  • Managing the resource and project portfolio at departmental level

  • Customer relations and tendering

  • Technical support regarding the match between the hydraulic system and the customer’s application

  • Implementing the group’s initiatives and handling group reporting.

You will work closely with your manager and your manager colleagues, especially in Hydraulics Manufacturing and the Project Department.

The current Senior Technical Manager Hydraulics & Controls wants to have a more technical role and will give you an individual training and onboarding program in line with the current situation and your competencies.

Do you want to head the team?
