Head of Group Accounting & Consolidation

NEW CENTRAL ROLE TO STRENGTHEN GROUP FINANCE

Middelfart

Do you want a key role close to the Group CFO and executive management? Do you thrive on setting high professional standards and driving change at group level? Do you dream of personal development and are you motivated by impact, complexity and growth? Then this position could be your next step.

Group Finance

As the new Head of Group Accounting & Consolidation you will join a global team. It is a team of highly motivated professionals who work on defining and executing the high ambitions of Dinex – and they make sure to have fun from time to time. The group operates with decentralized finance functions, supported by locally responsible finance managers, and a central Group Finance function consisting of four controllers, your role, and a shared manager, all reporting to the Group CFO.

About the position - Group Consolidation & Reporting

We are looking for a strong and ambitious finance professional to take on a key, newly created role at group level. Working closely with the Group CFO and executive management, you will play a central role in shaping and professionalizing the group’s consolidation, reporting, and finance processes. This is a unique opportunity to make a real impact by driving the transformation from manual, Excel-based consolidation to an automated group consolidation solution.

You will be responsible for both leading the project and ensuring high-quality group reporting on an ongoing basis and at year-end closing. Your main responsibilities include:

  • Planning and driving the reporting processes etc., including optimizing timelines, standardizing procedures, and ensuring strong governance

  • Ensuring consistent accounting practices, quality, and documentation across all group companies

  • Developing and maintaining the Group Accounting Manual, guidelines, instructions, and best practices for subsidiaries

  • Driving continuous improvements in structure, accounting quality, and efficiency in collaboration with your controller colleagues

  • Building a group reporting portal with standard reports for internal and external financial reporting

You will also work to create transparency between the group’s two divisions (Aftermarket and OEM), covering processes and KPIs as well as reporting structures. Furthermore, you will support management with analyses and qualitative reporting.

You will work closely with colleagues in the central Group Finance function, local finance managers across the organization, and external auditors. Your workplace will be at the group headquarters in Middelfart, and you should expect approximately 20-25 travel days per year to the group’s production sites.

We Are Looking for a Strong and Ambitious Finance Professional

We are seeking a candidate who has demonstrated the ability to handle professional responsibilities at group level, either in a similar role, as Group Controller or as an auditor. You are ambitious and motivated to work with key financial agendas at the highest organizational level.

You have a strong balance-sheet-oriented focus that helps prevent surprises. This focus is combined with a solid understanding of consolidation tehnics, the Danish Financial Statements Act (ÅRL), and internal and external reporting. It is an advantage if you have already successfully automated reporting and/or implemented a consolidation system.

In any case, you have proven your ability to drive processes and projects, create structure, and engage colleagues across countries and controller teams. Your natural approach to new tasks is analytical, collaborative, and forward-looking. Your ambition extends both to your own development and to the finance function around you.

Naturally, you are fluent in English in both speech and writing, as it is the group’s corporate language. You have strong Excel skills.
