DESIGN OF INTELIGENT HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS FOR CUSTOMIZED BRAKING APPLICATIONS
Vejstrup
Can you see yourself working in a well-established Application & Control department with competent and motivated colleagues? Can you envision yourself designing solutions that create safety and security in every type of braking application where large forces or special conditions apply?
Then you might be the next engineer to join the team at Svendborg Brakes.
Develop innovative brake solutions for demanding applications
Together with your competent colleagues in the Application & Control Department, you will be involved in projects related to customer-specific applications. These applications must function in environments such as underwater turbines, submarines, elevators, or at high altitudes in the mountains of Tibet. The applications are diverse and offer plenty of design challenges.
Based on specifications and timelines, projects are led by a Project Manager. This allows you to focus on the technical aspects of the projects as well as managing your own project timeline. Your tasks will include:
-
Technical adjustments of the core product and components for braking systems
-
Design and construction of braking systems and components, including hydraulic systems
-
Leading and ensuring the execution of testing these designs in the test center and production facilities
-
Preparing technical documentation, including drawings and bills of materials (BOMs)
-
Participation in development projects, including new material types and customer-specific projects.
Your typical workday will be a mix of independent work and a cross-functional collaboration, as solutions are often found through interdisciplinary collaboration. Among other things, you will work closely with a technical designer who supports you by creating technical documentation.
Svendborg Brakes has its own hydraulic manufacturing and test center, where designs can be tested and where customers visit to follow the project progress. This means you will be able to see your projects through from start to finish.
You are passionate about engineering and intelligent hydraulic systems
We are looking for an engineer with a strong passion for engineering and hydraulics. You have both an interest in and experience with mechanical design, hydraulics, and electrical control systems, and you are motivated by continuously developing your skills. You most likely hold a degree in mechatronics or mechanical engineering and have at least three years of professional experience.
You take a structured approach to your work and maintain a strong overview of tasks and processes. You understand that respecting specifications and timelines leads to the best results and strongest collaboration. You communicate effectively with people from different professional backgrounds and interact effortlessly with both customers and colleagues across departments.
In addition, you are fully comfortable communicating in English, both verbally and in writing.
Do you want to join the team?
At Svendborg Brakes, you will experience a flat organizational structure and an informal culture, where you have the freedom to plan your own workday and the projects you are involved in. You will also be part of a close cross-functional collaboration, where colleagues complement each other across projects with their individual areas of expertise.
Svendborg Brakes’ willingness and motivation to explore new technologies - as one of the world leaders in this field - is evident throughout the company. In other words, you will join a team with high level of expertise and a strong dedication to continuous development. This gives you a unique opportunity to develop your skills based on your interests and motivation.
