Building and deploying consumer and market insights in future bed solutions

Based in Tempur Sealy’s manufacturing facility in Aarup you will become part of our ambitious Product Management Team dedicated to defining the future offerings as well as keeping the current assortment fit and agile.

This role is a maternity cover for the Senior Insights and Intelligence Manager, and you will be responsible for consumer and market research focusing on complete bed solutions. You will be involved in the concept and design development utilizing research insights, and your primary tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Conducting consumer and market research – by yourself and with the help from external research professionals
  • Contribute to driving and managing strategic insights and intelligence to increase competitive advantage, fuel growth and business performance by guiding key decision makers
  • Participate in identifying business opportunities and building strategies that strengthen the Tempur-Sealy business
  • Support the Product manager for the bed category in concept and design development of a new range of bed solutions, as well as adjacent product management tasks in the category

You will work closely with a wide range of stakeholders internally and externally, especially Innovation/NPD and product/brand functions at the corporate headquarter as well as international sales subsidiaries.

Consumer centric mindset and deployment focus

There are multiple qualifiers for this position, but it is important that you are a true team player, have strong ambition and that you are energized by having influence, freedom to operate and that you have an informal and humoristic spirit. Besides this, you have most of the following professional competences:

  • A master’s degree in a marketing related fields (e.g. cand.merc., cand.negot., cand.scient or cand.oecon) or maybe you hold an engineering degree in combination with an academic degree in product development, innovation or design
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience from a similar position with responsibilities within product management, market analysis/intelligence and market research – either from a market analytics institute/research provider, design consultancy or from a position in a R&D/NPD team in a large company within the premium products category
  • Strong experience with both qualitative and quantitative research projects
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills in English, and accustomed to working in a complex organization with multiple projects and stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and project management skills with the ability to run multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment and team-based culture
  • Experience in statistical and data management, as well as analytical report writing
  • Strong presentation skills, including transforming complex research insights and intelligence into ‘to the point’ actionable knowledge and recommendations
  • You communicate fluently in English and Danish, and that you are able to travel internationally and domestically equivalent to approx. 30 days per year.
