Pentair Sustainable Gas Solutions is experiencing significant growth. One of Pentair’s strategic growth pillars is the aftermarket area. The projects will be engineered and produced at Pentair Haffman’s site in Venlo, or Pentair Union Engineering sites in Fredericia or Ningbo in China.

To achieve further growth, Pentair is looking for a Field Service Engineer.
Providing advice and service to global customers
As Field Service Engineer you will be responsible for providing advice on service and maintenance work in the field of mechanical engineering for Pentair’s CO2 installations. You will also execute corrective and preventive maintenance and repair work on systems within the Sustainable Gas Solutions business area.
Your primary tasks and areas of responsibilities are:

To carry out service activities (preventive and corrective maintenance) as part of the field service team on CO2 Recovery & Generation Plants on site.

To ensure compliance with safety and quality control regulations.

To collaborate with the Team Lead, Onsite Services on job progress and provide feedback on project execution.

To assist in ensuring that the company meets its contractual obligations towards the customer on time and within budget, safely and to the highest standard.

Where appropriate, to take care of, prepare, and check the required materials/parts before transport to location.

To execute service reporting of the job executed.

To perform interim and final checks of systems in line with shutdown and startup procedures.
You can expect approx. 180 travel days per year.
You will be a part of the global organisation, but primarily affiliated to Pentair Union Engineering in Fredericia, Denmark. You will report to the Team Leader, OnSite Service & Planning based in Venlo, the Netherlands.
Experienced field service or commissioning engineer
You have an educational background as marine engineer, mechanical engineer, electrical engineer, or equivalent qualifications, and approximately 3 years of experience as a Field Service Engineer or a similar role.
You have an overall knowledge of PLC technology, and you are familiar with refrigeration, industrial gas and/or CO2 recovery systems, including pressure and static equipment. Knowledge of gas compressors, rotating machinery, and gas process technologies would be a plus.
You feel comfortable in a role where customer satisfaction and technical challenges go hand in hand. You are creative, innovative and you pursue opportunities and solutions. You are a team player, and you build trusting relationships easily.
Internal and external communication will often be in English, hence you communicate fluently in verbal and written English. Knowledge of other languages such as German, Italian, Dutch, or French is appreciated.
